Oh, The Beauty of

Pregnancy and Birth!


The Oregon Midwifery Council presents the photo exhibit “Joining the Family.” These heart warming photographs by Julie James of Bloomington, Indiana are part of the First Friday Art Walk at Fenario Gallery, 881 Willamette St., Eugene, OR 97401.  Opening night is May 2nd, 5:30pm.  We are excited to have Belly Casts on display as well.  This exhibit will last through the end of May.

   BIRTH CERTIFICATE TRAININGS

The training is divided into two modules and each module will be offered one or more times per location to give everyone a chance to take it.  CEU will be offered.


Module 1 will address changes to the Oregon Birth Certificate.  Module 2 will demonstrate how to enter a birth certificate electronically.   Attendees can forgo Module 2, but we strongly encourage them to take Module 1 at a minimum.


            9am to noon   Module 1: Changes to the Oregon Birth Certificate

          1pm to 5 pm    Module 2: Using the Electronic Birth Registration System


Module 1 will provide participants with an overview of the new Oregon birth certificate.

Participants will learn about: 

·         Changes in procedure for filing the birth certificate

·         Changes in the required information gathered to conform to the national standard birth

           certificate

·         Changes in Voluntary Acknowledgment of Paternity laws and forms


Module 2 will provide participants with training in filing Birth Certificates electronically.

          Participants will learn about:

·         Changes to electronic filing

·         How to use the new Electronic Birth Registration System
